ABOUT ME

Besna Erol

(she/her/hers)

Hej, and welcome to my blog! I am a junior international student at St. Olaf College (MN), majoring in Psychology with concentrations in Neuroscience and Public Health Studies. I was born and raised in Turkey and have been living abroad since 2019. A couple of months ago, I decided to study abroad at DIS Copenhagen for the full 23′-24′ academic year.

Hobbies/Interests

In my free time, I enjoy swimming, wandering around, cooking, reading, and listening to music/podcasts. On top of all of them, I am a travel enthusiast. So far, I have been to 11 countries, and I cannot wait to explore more!! If you also find a great amount of joy in any of these activities or want to learn more about them, please feel free to contact me ✍🏽

Psychology/Neuroscience

If I could only learn about one subject in the world for the rest of my life, it would undoubtedly be Neuropsychology. My curiosity about the human brain and behavior is a never-ending one, which leads me to want a career as a researcher in the field of Neuropsychology. Having taken multiple Psychology courses and worked on different research projects, I cannot wait to learn more during my time at DIS Copenhagen. Hopefully, in the future, I can apply the outcomes of my research to clinical practices to help more individuals who struggle with mental health.
